But having to make drinks to order defeats the purpose of making a pitcher of Margaritas. You can shake up to three drinks at a time that way. Alternatively you can stir the ingredients together, without ice, in the pitcher, and then portion that mix out, three ounces at a time into a shaker with ice. If you want to spring for an oversized shaker, you can, but they’re pricey and impractical. The downside to making Margaritas for a crowd, as opposed to just one or two people at a time, is that there is no good way to shake the drink. You can make as much Margarita as you want, as long as you remember this formula: four parts tequila, two parts lime juice, one part agave syrup. Fortunately, the classic tequila cocktail can be batched, and it’s incredibly easy to make a whole pitcher of Margaritas. Pitcher: Place 1 ½ cups tequila, 1 ½ cups orange juice, 1 cup triple sec, and 1 cup lime juice in a pitcher.
